In Vancouver, BC,
independent Tasmanian-born artist Anni M Fables has just released her
long-awaited debut, Space (Luck) Sphere, which is now available on all
major online platforms. This record stands out as the first studio album by
Fables’ who, up until now, has been primarily a solo looping performer.
Musicians from bands Red Haven, The Staggers & Jaggs, Devil in the
Woodshack, The Rossi Gang and Logan & Nathan were involved in the
project.
Lovers of acoustic sounds, compelling female vocals, complex strings arrangements and a few twists will find Space (Luck) Sphere a garden of whimsical stories rich with undercurrents of equality, perception, unity and accountability. The album is currently available on Bandcamp, iTunes, Amazon, Spotify and other online stores. Limited edition Compact Disks can be purchased through Bandcamp and include multiple pieces of album artwork by Meli Rose Art and photographer Mary Matheson.
Fables is overjoyed to have finally released Space (Luck) Sphere after embarking on the project more than three years ago when she first arrived in North America. A couple of the songs, she says, were first shaped eight years ago while travelling in Southern Africa. In her words, the songs she creates are “bittersweet stories of alchemy and imagination...an optimistic response to this complicated world.” Mandeep Bhatia of Radio Tulum, who interviewed Fables earlier this year in Mexico and produced the music video for the first single from Space (Luck) Sphere, “Endless”, refers to a Fables live performance as “Magical. Utterly magical.”
Space (Luck) Sphere is now available on Bandcamp, iTunes, Amazon, Spotify and other online stores. Limited edition Compact Disks can be purchased through Bandcamp.
