Following the release of his acclaimed EP, 'The Breach' (out now) Dustin Tebbutt has
announced his first ever European shows. Arriving in the UK at the end
of February, Dustin's debut London show will take place at Servant Jazz Quarters on Tuesday
25th Feb, followed by a clubnight show at Tivoli Spiegelbar in Utrecht (Netherlands) on Saturday 1st March with Marble Sounds and Mutual Benefit.
'The Breach' is a tenderly sculpted 4-track EP which came about after Dustin - an Australian producer-singer/songwriter - relocated to Sweden for 2 years to live and work having fallen for the notion of life in winter and the appeal of a hibernation far away. It is the music for your autumns and winters. For the soft light, for the rainy windowpane, for that silent drive in the night, or the carving of a home from a new place.
Written, produced and mixed by Dustin himself, ‘The Breach’ is a solo work in the full sense. It pays musical homage to other Northern hemisphere winter dwellers such as Sigur Rös, Jose Gonzales and Justin Vernon, and is an insight into the mind of a young man confronted by distance and isolation, yet intoxicated by the stark beauty of life at 28.
After heavy rotation on Australia's massively-influential Triple J, 'The Breach' has also received early spins from Zane Lowe at BBC Radio One. Alongside glowing reviews and a quickly growing fan base, Dustin’s music is boldly gaining momentum from it’s humble and completely organic start, a strong sign that his textured blend of carefully crafted sounds and lyrics has the weight to really stir the emotions, and these European shows are not to be missed.
