A brand-new retrospective featuring the early TV and film-works of the late, multi-talented and unconventional actor/director, DENNIS HOPPER. The celebrated actor, Oscar-nominated filmmaker and noted visual artist rose to fame in mid-century Hollywood as a co-star and friend to rebel icon James Dean. Follow Hopper from his 1955 screen debut on the critically acclaimed MEDIC, to a juvenile delinquent charged with murdering the "Mama's Boy" on a riveting episode of PUBLIC DEFENDER, and a standout dramatic turn on THE LORETTA YOUNG SHOW. Features the following: Hopper's debut in MEDIC (1955) with the episode Boy in the Storm. From PUBLIC DEFENDER (1955) with the episode Mama's Boy. Hopper's appearance on THE LORETTA YOUNG SHOW (1955). Dennis' landmark starring role in Curtis Harrington's NIGHT TIDE (1961), completely restored and uncut. From PETTICOAT JUNCTION, Dennis appears as a latter-day beatnik. Plus previews from the great man's versatile career including the delinquent classic KEY WITNESS and the legendary NIGHT TIDE.
